Supported Employment
Supported Employment Supported Employment services are designed to expand the options available for persons with severe disabilities to achieve and maintain integrative, competitive employment in the community. Persons elibible for supported employment must work at least 20 hrs per week and earn at least minimum wage. These persons require on-going support and extended services from a job coach in order to keep their job. Models of supported employment include individual placement, enclaves, mobile work crews, and transitional employment.
On-Site Placement On-site placement is for individuals with significant disabilities who do not require extended follow-along services, but instead need short-term job training and support(s) from a job coach. Persons elibible for on-site placement are required to work at least 32 hrs per week and at least earn minimum wage. |
